Another WOW moment!
Okay guys ... here is a biggie wow moment for me.
As most of you already know, I had high BP before surgery but was able to come off my meds shortly after surgery, but have kept a close eye on my bp since then just to make sure that all is going well ....
WELL ... when I took my BP/Pulse yesterday it was 110/70 which is great, but here is the real kicker ... my pulse was 58 BPM ... down from 100-110 BPM pre-surgery ... I guess all this weight loss and exercise is really helping my insides more than I realized. I took my measurements several times over the course of the day to ensure that it was not a fluke reading ... and it wasn't!!! I am so pleased that my poor little ole heart is not having to work as hard these days! It was a real blessing to find this out yesterday, as I was once again feeling a bit down thinking that I am not losing like I should be, not like everyone else ... yadda yadda yadda (basically having my own personal pity party and no one but me came to it *sigh*) But when I took my BP measurement I was once again reminded of why I actually had this surgery, for my HEALTH not vanity ... so get off the pity bandwagon and remember that my body is working on getting healthier in its own sweet way and its own sweet time (albeit slow time) ... and the proof was in the pudding (the sugar free and fat free pudding of course *GRIN)
Another reason why I feel so very blessed to have been given a second shot at life with this surgery!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
WAY TO GO TAMMY TAMMY,
As a pre-op I sound the same of your former self. The cardiologist put me on BP meds in prep for my surgery and my pulse was 104-105 BUT
Girlfriend, it's your day to be super duper proud of what you accomplished! Gives all us pre-ops something to look forward to if we can be as dedicated as you!!!!!!
Tammy,
Your BP and blood pressure is great news and definitely WOW moment. Doesn't it make you feel great. And this is a WOW moment that will last a long time. I get those same feelings when I get depressed about the fact that the scale doesn't seem to be working. At least our bodies and our health keep getting better. I actually feel guilty now if I miss a day at the gym. Who would have ever thought? Remember any time you need a shoulder to whine on, just give me a buzz.
Your bud,
Rob
