I forget when we are allowed to swallow the capsule instead of opening it up...lol another "brains fell out moment"

Linda, I started at 4 weeks. I honestly didn't do well with the Actigall until then. Elissa

Hey Linda, I grinded those guys up and took the applesauce mixture for four weeks. Call Brett and he'll probably give you the o.k. to swallow them. I just threw the rest of mine down the toilet yesterday. What a glorious moment to remember.

Do you have Actigall or the generic brand? I have Ursodiol and they are huge capsules. Brett told me not to swallow them. In fact I showed him my BP meds and he he said I would have to either keep crushing them up or chop then into 4ths. I am hoping that some day we will be able to swallow pills whole!

Actigall is the prescription that Dr's Irgau and Wynn require us to take for 6 months after surgery to prevent gall bladder problems. Linda

Oh my goodness ... don't even get me to thinking about the Actigall ... I had a horrid reaction to it ... makes me itch just thinking about it still ... 'cuse me while I go scratch!!! Okay, I had the generic brand and must not have made that clear to Brett, cause he never told me I couldn't swallow it whole ... I did BTW and that was not the problem I had with it ... my problem was that I was allergic to it and developed a horrible rash and incessant itching ... my whole body looked like a freak show for a while. I never did real well with it when I had to put it in the applesauce either but when I was allowed to swallow it ... I was a good girl, until the reaction that is ... Brett said that does not happen very often ... leave it to me to do what is not normal!!! Have a good Day Linda!!! Hugs, Tammy

LB, I started swallowing them at about 2 months. I haven't had any problem with them. It's the calcium that gives me trouble. I've been taking the chewable ones. Deb
