As things move along after surgery and then the warm weather is coming we will see a drop off of members on this site. I've seen it happen with friends I met along the way around my surgery date almost 2 years ago. I want you all to know how important it is to not forget where you came from before you had this surgery. All the pre-ops out there need us as support through their process. Remember how you felt before your surgery and shortly thereafter. All the questions you had just needed that extra support to get you through. I'm making this a personal mission to help as many overweight people that I can. This surgery is the best thing that I could have ever done for myself and my family!!

Hi Ginger, I agree and plan on really making the effort to keep my stuff updatd. I can remember being pre-op and REALLY getting into a profile I could identify with and then all of a sudden the person would stop updating, lol it's like missing the end of a movie! Not sure if anyone even reads mine but just incase. Same with the message board, only takes me a few seconds to surf by and see if anything is going on. I hope everyone makes the effort to keep updates going. I know I really miss reading about people's adventures when they're gone. Linda

Thank you so much, you don't know how much I depend on this message board! And when the day comes that I too am on the loosing side, I plan to stick around to return the favor. Dana

As a pre-op Ginger I thank you in advance for making WLS patients your mission to educate and support as needed. Thank you for sticking around the boards. We need you and other posties to be our guiding light during this process you "posties" are a God sent I enjoy the "seasoned" information I've gathered thus far. ~Shay~

You made a very important post here Ginger. I for one don't think I will ever drop from the board. I am glad to help other in need of support for the surgery. I did not have the support until afterwards and now I am determined to help others in anyway I can. I do notice a lot of people drop off the boards after they have had surgery and start to loose weight. I am always eager to help others thourhg their surgery process and I hope a lot of others stick to this too! Peace~~ Hope

Hi Ginger - I couldn't agree more - Although I'm relatively a new post-op at 3mos out, I already know that this is one of the best things I've done for myself and my family. And if I can share my little bit of knowledge or encouragement or support, I'm going to do it. It is so worth it! ((hugs)) Carla

Excellent post and a good reminder. And don't forget about all the post-ops who still have questions every day and can use that little extra boost of daily support. I salute all of you who became posties ahead of me. Rob

Hi Ginger Thanks so much for caring so deeply about us pre-ops, you must be a special angel! While I wait for my WLS date, reading the message board and profiles for me is almost like therapy. Without the support meetings and the message board I would be lost, so please don't forget us, we need you! Again thank you Ginger and all of the post-ops out there that will continue to help us pre-ops. ((hugs for all) Patti C

Great post Ginger, I'm not going anywhere. I need this as much as the pre ops and newly post ops. I have no support with friends (outside this group) or family, so you are all so important to me! T
