Help!
Any innovative ideas on jello and chicken broth! I just keep hanging in there thinking of everyone that did this before me. One problem is though even though I haven't eaten since Friday night, I have terrible stomach pains and the runs. Did anyone else ever have this problem? I feel like I have lost 30 lbs already.
Karen,
I did not have those problems, but was pretty certain I had lost a couple of hundred pounds by the time I left the hospital! *grin* As far as ideas with jello and broth... I ate a lot of chicken broth ... I bought some of those Mrs Grass and left out the noodles and used the chicken broth nuggett ...something soothing about that because my mom used to give those to me when I was a child. Mostly what I did when I was at the "modified fast" was A LOT of Fruit2O. I drank and drank them. They hit the spot for me better than just about anything else.
I tried to post to your surgery support page and once again, it will not let me post. I thought I had gotten past that as I posted to a couple last week. I am sorry, sure wish I could offer my support there, but guess I will just have to do it here!!!
My support post if I could post it! *grin*
Dear Karen,
I wanted to stop by your support page and offer you a bit of DE board support. I am so very excited for you and the changes that you are about to have happen for you. Truly Karen, this has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. And is especially wonderful for you to be able to share this with your daughter also. Get ready Karen, to have your eyes opened up to a whole new life full of less pain, less sidelining, less self conscienceless, more joy, simply more joy and more living and loving life!!! Please be sure to let me know if you need anything at all. I will do all I can to help you out!!! BTW - may I share something really cool with you? Today I had both my boys outside and we ran and played like they have never seen me do. I would have never been able to do this just 6 short months ago. And yesterday we had to go to the mall to get my youngest son some shoes (Long story, he has to be fitted) anyway, the sales lady put him down off the chair not realizing that he can run like a rocket (she was young and slim) ... anyway, my little guy took off, and we both ran after him. I got to him first ... she was out of breath. I picked him up and we just laughed and laughed. Hubby came up to me and whispered in my ear "Your so fast". I loved it!!! I have never been called fast in my whole entire life!!! I feel so much more confident in my ability to parent/protect my children after my surgery. It is wonderful!!! Anyway, during these last minutes when you get a little nervous, just keep your mind on how much your quality time will improve with your grandchildren ... how you are going to be around for years to come to not only see, but to be a part of their lives! Great big bear hugs to you Karen. I am so proud of you for taking your health into your hands!!! Peace be with you! Trust in your decision, trust in your excellent docs, and trust in your Lord! Hugs, Tammy
