I am loosing my support.....

HI Dana, I can understand your frustration! There are a lot of people out there who think we are fat because we are lazy and that surgery is an easy way out. Also a lot of people listen only to the bad and not the good of this operation. Your church members may feel negative simply because we are "altering the body" which God gave us. But I believe God helped these doctors find this surgery to help the over weight and unhealthy. I think everyone will agree on this board that we are here to help you and support you. Keep fighting!! Thank you everyone for your hugs and kind words, yesterday I really needed that. But today is a new day and I feel alot better. If I didn't have you guys to pull me through bad days.....I would have gave up a long time ago. Thanks again Dana

Dana, I'm not going to be the first person to say this....but we are all here for you. Just remember that this a decision that you have to make. Nobody knows what you are going through. Don't let anyone try to talk you out of this. I am going through this process on my own, but with the help of some terrific people that are on this board, I can get through this.......and so can you! Your husband has to realize that no matter what type of set back you encounter, the support is what really matters at this particular time! Keep your chin up! We are here for you!! Dana, Those who are trying to discourage you from having the surgery are operating in a spirit of fear. They are afraid for you, afraid to lose you, afraid that things will change. But God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us sound minds. If you have a peace about the surgery, you need to convey that sense of peace to your husband. This lack of approval could well be an attack from the Enemy, who would like to see obesity devour you and keep you from walking the path the Lord has laid out for you. IF GOD DID NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE THE SURGERY, you would have no peace about it. You would be fretful, worisome, and generally ill at ease. As you convey this reasoning to your husband, my prayer is that he will examine himself, find his peace, and return his support in a much stronger manner than ever. Diane C. Lord, you know Dana's needs, not only for the surgery but for the support of her family, her church family and her friends. Beyond that, she needs insurance approval RIGHT NOW. Lord, we lift this request to you right now. In Jesus' name, we ask that you bind every effort of the Enemy to thwart the plan that You placed on Dana's heart and in her mind. Send your warrior angels to hack away the barriers in this spiritual jungle that would derail her efforts. At the same time, send ministering angels to hold her up, to support her and generally continue her walk along Your assigned path.
