Life Is Gooooood
I saw my endo today for my first diabetes check-up since before surgery. He was impressed with my numbers steadily coming down, they get better each day. He suggested I resume taking one Avandamet a day and one BP pill...I said nope! I agreed to have complete blood work in 4 weeks and see where I am then.
I feel wonderful, sometimes I am afraid to say aout loud how good I feel. I am 3 weeks out as of yesterday and have been sleeping in my own bed as of the second night home. I hated that hosp bed lol. So far I have been very fortunate and no food has disagreed with me and no yet I am really enjoying my energy level too. I feel like the day I had this done they went in and flipped a switch or fixed my switch!
I see Brett again on Monday and the nutritionist the week after that. Hope this finds you all happy, healthy and DRY! Had enough rain and am ready for some more sunshine.
Linda
Way to go, Linda. I also enjoyed returning home so I could get a good night sleep and never got real comfortable in their hospital bed. This may be the only way we get sunshine for awhile, through e-mails.
Keep up the good work and don't worry if the time comes when some food does disagree with you . It's part of the learning cycle.

Way to Go Linda. I'm so proud of you girl. You sound like I felt for the 1st month. Full of pep & vinegar. I did hit a couple of bumps, but it's all part of the journey. I for 1 am very happy that I've come this route and am super glad for all the support I have received and only hope I can pass on some encouragement to those just starting their journeys. Good Luck. Keep up the good work. I hope all is well with you and Sam too. ((HUGS)) Elissa
