HELP!!!!!!

OK, I think I know what I'm doing, but...... I was just rereading my presurgery instructions (for the twentieth time) and it dawned on me that it says "UNSWEETENED clear liquids" for the two days prior to surgery. Does this mean that I shouldn't have even been having things with artificial sweeteners??????? Or just not to have sugar??????? I'm probably just dreaming up things to worry about, but I figured I had better ask! Ken

Don't worry Ken, artificial sweeteners are OKay! I've been trying to post to your surgery page, but have been unable to -- don't know what's up with that! Hi ken, Carla already answered your question so I'm just stopping to say hi. I can't seem to post to the surgery page either grrrrrr...so I will tell you here, you are gonna do great! Walk, sip, and breathe...get those burps going! lol both ends too....surgical floor loves gas. lol I had a nurse tell me " This is the 5th floor, we celebrate gas! " See you when you're a loser. Hi Ken, I agree with Carla, you are doing fine. Seems to be an issue with the surgery page, so I guess you'll just have to hear from all of us when the clown makes an appearance. T

Hey Ken, Take a deep breath. Now blow it out. Stay calm. I think as long as it's not sugar you'll be fine. They basically want to clear out your stomach as much as possible to make the surgery easier. Enjoy. Talk to you soon. And remember the gas posting... Rob
