Ups and Downs
Hi, all.
I've had a great day, and a bad day.
The people I work with took me out to Toscana today for lunch to celebrate my graduation, and as a "last supper". We had a great time. I am SOOO fortunate to have a work group who are supportive of my surgery. I was almost in tears by the end of the day!!
Then I came home and my wife told me that she isn't sure that she will let me refinance to keep the house. She thinks we should sell and go our separate ways. Just ripped my heart out!
But she still want our separation to be temporary. We still agree that we are not looking for divorce. My brain is TOTALLY scrambled on this.
It's just what I need 5 days before my surgery!!!! (insert LOTS of sarcasm)
Well, I'm leaving for WV 7:30 tomorrow morning. I hope to come back in a little better spirits. The last thing I need is to go into surgery feeling all depressed!
Ken
Hi Ken,
Thats great news for the beginning of your day but sucky news to end it. Just enjoy your trip to West Virginia, and enjoy the holiday weekend. If i can offer 2 words of advice.........1) I think i can speak for everyone on this Board, but we are all behind you and support you 100%........and 2) as for going into surgery feeling depressed, I'll take you back to the end of one of my favorite movies ever, "It's A Wonderful Life". At the end of that movie, Clarence sends George a book as they are celebrating his newfound wealth, on the inside of the cover Clarence wrote this....."Remember, no man is a failure who has friends"! Ken, we are all your friends, and we are here if you ever need us! So you go into surgery knowing that your FRIENDS are here thinking of you!!

Ken:
The work thing was great. You are fortunate. I know how undecided you were about whether or not to tell your co-workers. I'll bet you are glad you did, lol.
Try not to focus on the house, focus solely on the surgery. The rest will work itself out. Everyday brings a new beginning, so don't spend all your time fretting about these things as life turns-on-a-dime. Please use this website to vent, we are here for you. I know you are already on the road right now. I imagine your thoughts are keeping your mind busy as you drive. Take good care of yourself, Ken.
