I've been approved!
Congratulations!!!!! I know you are so excited!!! I hope I'm that lucky tomorrow when I go to see Dr. Miller... Isn't Tina just wonderful?!?!?!
To update myself... I found out Monday, when I went to my regular doctor that I've lost 24 pounds since January... I think I may have crossed over the "line" from Borderline Diabetic to regular Diabetic...

Diane, Wow, that sure was quick. 1st visit, insurance approved then 2nd visit, then surgery. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. You are gonna need more than a few days to recoup from the surgery. I hope your schedule will allow you recovery time. It is important in this journey to take enough time for yourself and your health. Wishing you the best. Elissa
I agree. I'm trying to allow a full four weeks before I work into my full routine. If I can scheduled the surgery for the 1st week of July, then I can proceed with my schedule unscathed. If not, then I'm afraid I'll have to wait until August. I was hoping for the end of June until my son decided that we all need to go to Orlando for a family vacation. This is a first in years (my kids are 21, 24 and 26).
I've already told my family that after the surgery I intend to be a wimp. I'm not leaving anything to chance. I would like to have it before July 28 because our youngest is leaving for his first duty station/tech school at Vandenburg AFB, Calif. All the way across the country . . . well, we won't go there.
I have a hunch that everything's going to be pretty high-speed from here on. I've had my Cpap thing for two nights and find myself feeling tired when I wake up, still. But it's the first time in years that I've slept through the night without getting up two or three times in the middle of the night. And the adjustments are just beginning. I hope to go into the surgery well-rested and refreshed. Anything to facilitate healing.
