Down from size 28 to 8
WOW!!! I went dress shopping yesterday and fit into a size 8. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever thought I would be this size. Miracles DO happen! My dear husband told me the other night that he fell in love all over again! Just had to share my good news with you all!!
I'm still very serious about having a get together for all of us. Thought first about renting a firehall or something. Then I thought that maybe we can meet at some park and everyone bring a covered dish?
As for the News Journal Article that I'm supposed to be in... I've just sent the editor another email to see if she can give me a new date. We've been working on this since Jan... They came to my house and to one of my support group meetings in Feb. The article was originally supposed to be published March 7th. I'm ready for this to happen!! They won't let me read it before it is published. I don't like that idea, but that's their rule. My only fear is the people that will write into the letters to the editor saying how I took the "easy" way out with the surgery. Lord knows mine wasn't easy with all the complications. SO.... This is where I will need your support. If you all see any bad press... may sure you set them straight!
Ginger-
Congrats on the dress size, but most importantly the support of your significant other. What a great achievement. Keep it up!
I also did a recent interview for the News Journal, that was suppose to be in last week and it to got bumped. I called them and they couldn't give me a new date, so hopefully they will be kind enough to call before it goes to print. I understand your frustation.
Keep up the good work!

Ginger you look fabulous. You should be so proud of yourself. What a woman. So glad that your hubby has fallen in love all over again. They say it's better the second time around. Glad yours will be with the same hubby. This is anything but easy. It takes dedication and courage to go through this. You've got my support. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Hey Ginger.
Don't worry too much about those "easy way out with surgery" people. We all know how "easy" a life-process that we are going through right now. I wouldn't spend much time justifying your decision to others, spend your time thinking about that size 8 instead.
And who's says we are not entitled to the "easy way out". It seems more intelligent than searching for the "hard way out". The important thing is getting out.
Great job!
