A procedure scheduled for 4/16
Okay guys, I can't believe I'm posting this, but I have an outpatient surgical procedure on 4/16. (a female issue).
I didn't think it was a big deal (I've been trying to ignore it****il the doc's office called today and told me that I should be off my feet for that weekend and shouldn't exercise for 3 weeks!
Well, there's no way I'm off my feet all weekend, it's Little Leage baseball season OPENING DAY on Saturday, and I'm really really upset about not being able to exercise. Hard for me to believe that I'm upset over that, but I feel like I only have so much of a window and I'll be losing 3 weeks of it. Besides, if I stop, I might not ever start again.
Oh what to do............???? Any helpful thoughts guys?
Thanks
Hi Tina,
First off I hope all goes well with your procedure, that stuff is never fun to deal with. I think you should try to follow docs orders as closely as you can...the reason I say this is because if you overdo it now, then you may pay tenfold later. Maybe try to sneak in some short walks here and there but nothing strenuous. Drink alot and watch your food intake closely and maybe your weight loss won't suffer too much for the lack of activity. I think it's great you will miss doing your exercise, shows how much you have progressed!

Hi Tina,
Best of luck with your procedure, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I think you should listen to your doctor, but I don't think a casual slow walk would hurt after the weekend. Maybe just around your house, the time will go by fast and you will be back in the swing again, hang in there!!! HUGS Dana
