Hi there, everybody is doing so super. Linda is chipper and her rings twirling around. Tina is off the BP meds and NO more migraines. Yipee. Dana is close to her surgery date. Hang in there Dana, you're in the home stretch now. Tammy, you look wonderful. 75 lbs. You go girl. And the little Mamasita, Kathy, down 100 and gonna be a momma again. You guys are what makes my day. I am also off the BP meds for a couple weeks now. I had my stoma stretched and I can eat a little more now. I am exercising 5 days a week and loving it. I even broke into a sweat today and it didn't bother me. (I hate to sweat). Overall I feel wonderful. I'm down 4 sizes. 62 lbs down and a lot more still to go. I just can't believe it's coming off so fast. I'm happy that we all had the courage to have WLS and thank God and the Dr's everyday. This has been some ride. I'm gonna stay on cause I'm lovin it. Hope everyone can make it to PMRI on Saturday for the meeting. See you there. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hi Tammy, I took a peak at your updated picture, you look great! What I noticed most about your new picture, is how wide open your eyes are now, just beautiful. It must be wonderful to be wearing a size 16.... I'm so happy for you. As for me, Dr. Monsert from PMRI released me for surgery, but I still need to have my EGD, which is scheduled for May 7th.... no surgery date yet. Hope to see you at the meeting on Saturday. Hugs! Hello All! I will have my two week post op appointment on Monday so I will let you all know how much I have lost then. I am doing much better than when I first came home. I am very thirtsty all the time. Some times I get hungery but not offten. It is harder for me to drink than to eat. Most often when I take a sip, I still get a sharp pain where the drain site is/was. Today It feels like I hit a wall. I am so tired that all I have done is moved from one chair to another. Can't wait to see you all at the meeting on Saturday. Tammy- I will try to see your update, but my internet connection must be the slowest in the world. It takes minutes to connect to anything!

Hi gang!! Tammy, first of all, you look incredible! What a difference! And...I love your hair - it looks so healthy, and so do you! I'm doing ok - I do have a problem figuring out what it is that I want to eat. This has been and continues to be a real struggle for me. Nothing really appeals to me, like it used to...FOOD - can't live with it, can't live without it.... As of today, I'm down 69 lbs. I had to break down and buy a few new pairs of pants - the old ones were so baggy, that I was embarrassed to be seen in them anymore. I've been trying to stay busy lately, I'm hardly ever home anymore - I used to be such a home body, now I go on walks, I've been swimming whenever I can and when I am home, I'm busy working on my HTML profile pages. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday Glad to hear you all are doing so great - keep up the good work! You all are the BEST!! ((hugs)) Carla

Hi Everyone, First off Tammy you look wonderful and congrats to everyone and their terrific weight loss I had my 1 month appt on tuesday and am down 28 pounds. I just got the ok to eat normal foods. THANK GOODNESS!!! I was going nuts!!! couldnt stomach puree blech. So far I am doing alright. Not really hungry as I am constantly thirsty. Still trying to get in all the liquids I am supposed to. It is getting better Ive been scared about eating so havent been eating as much as I should at all. Tried some arbys roast beef just a few bites and that went very well! No bread of course. Tried a cheese stick, well half a cheese stick and that went alright. I am going to try a little bit of cheeseburger tonight and see how that goes. Im a little scared. Still get tired easily but I know I need to eat and drink more than I am! Well best wishes to everyone!!! Elizabeth M

Hi Everyone Let me say ohh la la to the new pics Tammy and Jessica. Very nice. Everyone is doing so great! I'm still haning in there. These two DelTech courses are not going as well as they should be. I'm definitely focused on having this surgery. Tonight was Gastric Bypass Life Skills class #4 of 6. It is going quicker than I had expected and they aren't too, too bad either. Little League has started so I'm busy almost every night one of the boys has practice. We leave the house in the morning and get home after 7pm every night. I'm not volunteering to be Team Mom this year. My daughter and granddaughter have moved into an apartment (nearby) and I miss them. I can see them often, but still suffering from empty-nest syndrome despite the boys (9 & 10) fighting and bickering all the time. Hope to see you all Saturday. Dianne

Oh my goodness ... you guys are WONDERFUL!!! Thank you for all the encouraging words. They mean so much more than I can express in words. Hugs to each and every one of you!!! I am going to let you into a little secret ... originally, when I heard that I had to go to the PMRI meetings by Dr Irgau. I was like ... UGH!!! Didn't really see or understand the necessity of them especially since they are so far away from me. But since the very first meeting that I went to .... I have been thrilled. I have met so many wonderful people that have truly become friends. And feel so very blessed to know each of you. Going to that first meeting allowed me to open up and really start posting on this board and thus meeting all the wonderful people here as well. This board and my newfound friends has truly helped me get through some really rough times pre and post op. Truly I am not sure how anyone goes this alone without the support groups. I want to thank each and every one of you from the very bottom of my heart. You truly are a special group!!! Hugs, Tammy
