I made it

Wow - it has been an amazing ride so far. It's been 5 months since surgery and as I find myself 100 lbs lighter & 11 weeks pregnant - this almost makes that heart catheterazation worth it! It is incredible to find myself doing simple things that I simply could not do when I was 336lbs. Friday after walking my 6 yr old to the bus stop I asked my 2 yr old if he wanted to ride on my shoulders. He said yep & so up he went. All the way home, up the outside steps, the inside steps & then up the second story steps to his bedroom - On my shoulders the whole time and I wasn't huffing and puffing. Before my surgery, I could not walk up the second story steps by myself with out breathing really hard by the time I got to the top - my head used to pound for a minute with all the pressure and burning in my lungs. Thank you all for the amazing support and friendship you provide. And added, unexpected & very welcomed benefit of this surgery was finding friends like you to take the journey with. ~Kathy V.

Hurray Kathy!! Isn't life wonderful!!! Hitting that 100lbs mark is so amazing!! I know I was excited when I hit the century mark!! I am so glad to hear things are working out so well for you!! Welcome to the century club!!!!!
