Looking for protien
hi all!
I'm getting nervous , antsy :ohoh:, jittery... as my surgery gets closer.
I'm trying to find the best protien and vitamins.
I've been looking at the Real Meals protein and also thier complete nutritional system vitamins. I know that the Real Meals have 60 grams of protien. Does anyone know if the vitamins have everything we need? (B-12, calcium.....)
Lots going on. Ihave been working lots of OT just to get work caught up before surgery.
I think I might get to keep my house. I have refinance paperwork started. Hopefully I'll get approved.
Then, I'll just have to get a PT job!
I'm going to WV to visit family the weekend before surgery. Come back Monday, surgery on Tuesday!
Well, anyway....if anyone has any info on Real Meals and the vitamins let me know.
Thanks!!!!
Ken

Hi Ken, I can't help you on the real meals deal - I take Unjury (20 grms of protein per scoop) for my protein supplement and Vista Vitamins. As far as the Real Meal's, I think maybe Rob would be able to help you out on that -- but I wanted to let you know that nervous is normal! This is not an easy decision that you have made - and it effects every part of your life. It sounds like you are keeping yourself busy with the OT at work - that's good. I hope all goes well with the Refi and enjoy your mini trip to WV!

Hi Ken,
I personally cant stomach (dont like) the protein powders or the protein creamy drinks or even the regular protein flavored powders. I found this great drink called isopure they have grape, blue rasberry, alpine punch, apple melon, icy orange...they are 40 grams per 20 oz bottle. I found mine at the vitamin shoppe on 202 in delaware. Or the vitamin shoppe on kirkwood highway. They are about 2.50 a bottle or something like that but they are soooo easy on the stomach and you get your protein without gagging lol at least in my opinion they arent bad tasting at all. be sure you pick up the bottles that say protein on them. I have heard the rehydration bottles are hard on the belly because of the pulp in them...I havent tried it yet but will let you know! Thirst is a big thing for me and those drinks are a God send!
best of luck.
