Everyone please cross your fingers!!!!
Today I turned in what I had from my pcp for Dianne to send to my insurance company last week she sent in my exercise papers, they quickly called Dianne and asked where were my doctor supervised diets, well the denial papers I recieved from Highmark bs said that they needed somthing to support the medical neccesity. What I sent does that but I still have no doctor suppervised diets.
So I am asking everyone to cross their fingers that this will be enough and I will get approved. Dianne told me they are just playing games and we will play along, they usually do this so people get discouraged and give up. Well they don't know me I have come tooooo far to give up now. So lets hope I get approved. Thanks Dana
Thatta girl! My fingers and toes are crossed for you too. I read once where insurance companies were routinely denying all claims on the first submission because a high % of people just accept the fact and just pay it. That saves them money, it's dishonest but they save money. For each one of us that fights it, there are probably several who don't.
Hang in there chickie!

Dana, I wrote a letter to my insurance Company Aetna. I went to Weigh****chers, Nutra system, I had been on Phen Phen, Wellbutrin. My Dr. only wrote a note that I was obese. I had to request that he copy the pages in his files that mentioned the Wellbutrin and phenphen. Not sure what he submitted , but I gave my letter to Marie so she could submit after the 1st refusal. They approved it on January 15th. 11 days prior to my sugery date. I put a copy of the letter in my journal somewhere around January 1st or so. I mentioned that I couldn't exercise because of my knees, but that I did get in the pool and exercised. I mentioned the IBS, arthritic knees, high BP & cholesterol & the sleep apnea. Good Luck. We're all praying for you. ((HUGS)) Elissa
