Good Morning Update

Good morning wls family, First night home wasn't bad at all. I had a little trouble finding a comfortable spot at first. I started out in bed for awhile then moved to the recliner in the living room. I slept about four hours there. Got up and had my first shower and finally washed my hair. OH MY, I feel like I hit the lottery that felt so great! Foodwise I have mainly been doing my little sips of light white cranberry or some crystal light. Today I think I may go wild and have some runny soup before switching to pureed food tomorrow. Hubby filled my scripts, so far I haven't needed the Tylenol with codeine at all. No real pain, just some soreness. My pharmacy filled my Actigall with a generic capsule called Ursodiol. Sam has been mixing it withan oz. of no sugar added applesauce and I can't even taste it. I'm faithfully doing my breathing, coughing and walking. Good thing I can cough because I have been bringing up stuff when I do. lol just what you wanted to know huh. It's clear tho and I'm figuring I'm clearing stuff out. I suppose all my good behavior has paid off, I had my first post-op BM today! LOL I'm just full of info you didn't really want to know....I figured I'd post it anyway for the benefit of those that come after me. I was thrilled it wasn't diarrhea. That's about it for me so far. I'm just trying to take it a day at a time and not get too freaked out over small stuff that will resolve itself eventually.

Welcome to the loosing side!!! You sound like you are doing great! I think a positive attitude is what makes one heal faster and succeed with this surgery! I know I walked 1/2 block my second day home. Soon yuo will feel so lively and healthy you won't be able to keep still!!! Congratulations!! Hope

Linda, Way to go. I told you the shower would be the best ever. I hope you left some ho****er for the rest of the family. On second thought the'll have to wait for it to recover and warm up another batch. Amazing, no food for over 5/6 days other than ice chips and juice and you can have a BM. Glad that's working too. Every little thing is such an accomplishment. Sounds like you're gonna do okay sweetie. Keep letting us know how you are doing. It's good for the pre-ops, they want to know all the details.
