Protien Shakes
Hi Karen,
I had a lot of difficulty finding a protein shake I could actually drink. The first 3 months I didn't use any on a regular basis because they all made me gag. Finally I have found one I really enjoy. It is Protein Delite and it is made by Sci tech Nutrition. I purchase mine at Carb Busters Dlite on Kirkwood Hwy. The banana is awesome and also the pineapple is good. Now I drink my protein every morning. Hope
Karen,
Good morning!!! Here is a link with some protein shake recommendations. I hope you find something that will suit you. Just a bit of advice, don't overbuy before surgery. If you are like most others, your taste will change after surgery. And even now, at 4.5 months out, I still find my tastes changing. What I liked yesterday, I may not like today ... strange phenomenon of the surgery. At any rate, I hope you find one that works for you.

Karen,
I recommend Unjury protein powder. The chocolate is my favorite. Mix with skim milk in a shaker. Not clumpy and thick like some of them out there. They also have an unflavored powder that is great to mix in with all kinds of things from puddings to mashed taters. I've been mixing it with the new Crystal Light Sunrise Orange drink and it's yummy. You can get it from unjury.com.

Hi Karen.,
I had lots of trouble finding something I liked. I finally found Whey Tech chocolate at the Vitamin Shoppe on Kirkwood hwy. They also have an online store & I think maybe a store at the beach. Anyway, it is sweetened with splenda, no bitter taste. I mix it in my tupperware mixer with skim milk for the best taste. The blender add too much froth for me. But if you are adding fruit or peanut butter like some folks then you need a blender.
Good luck, Kathy V.
Hi, Karen... Karen, here. lol
As you may have read, I love Trader Joe's whey protein powder, both chocolate and vanilla. I previously put the nutrional info on the MSN site. I think they taste awesome (and I've tried a lot of protein powders out there) and like Rob said, TJ's can be really affordable. I pay $7.49 for a 18.3 canister.
Hope this helps!
(((hugs)))
