I had my EGD

Hello everyone, I have been off having a pitty party for myself lately but I am back and I am not going to let these things like insurance and EGD's get me down. Thursday I went for my EGD and I was soooo not nervous everyone was so nice and I love the drugs they give you, but word of advice make sure you have someone in the room with you when your doctor comes in to tell you how it went, I have no memory of no such conversation, good thing I had my husband and a written piece of paper. lol Well I guess they found something, I have to take zantac for 2-5 weeks then have another EGD. But after pouting for a while then praying, I am all straightened out. I have such a great sense of calmness about me now. I don't care how far back they put my surgery date, I know I will eventually have one, so everything is fine now. Thanks for listening....Dana

Great attitude Dana. The perserverance will keep you focused and keep you going in the right direction. Believe me it will all be worth it. Thanks for the advice about the EGD. I go tomorrow at 1PM. I'll make sure my hubby pays attention. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hang in there Dana, at least you know you'll be in the best shape possible for the surgery. When I had my EGD, I had to take Nexium for 8 weeks after cause of the acid etc. 2-5 doesn't sound too bad. T

Hi Dana, I love the positive attitude! I think it is important when it comes to waiting for this surgery! I didn't have to have an EGD done but I have heard of many having to. Liek Tina and Elissa said, you will be in the best possible situtation with everything being completely checked out for this surgery!! Hope
