Blues dropping WLS?

Has anyone heard about BCBS dropping WLS? A friend of mine told me that she heard it on WBOC within the last three days, but she didn't know if it was local or not. I did find a CNN report that BCBS of Florida is dropping the surgery(http://www.cnn.com/2004/HEALTH/03/03/gastric.bypass.ap/index.html) Thanks Diane C.

Hi Diane, Dropping BCBS is Florida is all I heard also, I sure hope other states don't start dropping. Take care Dana

Diane: I work for BCBS of De and we are definitely not dropping WLS..Each BC plan in every state is different so I wouldn't worry about it...besides, if we do, you guys will be the first to know. Anne
