You have to do what? Give yourself needles? What kind of needles.....This is new to me......But I am a new pre-op... P.S. are you speaking of the B-12? If so is needles the only way? Shay a/k/a Snuggles

Glad to hear you are in the last mile. It will come quickly. I'm 4 weeks post op,and don't know about any needles either. It's probably for the blood thinnner, but this must be new. They are changing their procedures often and improving constantly. Just remember that it's always for your safety. Good luck Vanessa! Tina

Hi Vanessa - congrat's on your upcoming date! As far as the shots? I did not have to take them, I believe you are referring to the blood thinner shots. Brett did say at the last Saturday group meeting when they were required, but I'm sorry I do not remember the reason. I know that if you have to do it, although it may be difficult, those 30 days will be worth the new you that you are creating - you can do it!!!!! ((hugs)) Carla

Vanessa, Good luck sweetie. I did not have to do the shots. My surgery date was 1/26/04. The blood thinner shots started 2 wks after for everyone I understand. I hear you just aim and stick. EEEWWWWWW. The month does pass pretty quickly. So you'll do fine. We're here if you need us. ((HUGS)) Elissa
