Big news & Warning to new post ops
Hi guys.. I just took a HPT yesterday morning & I'm pregnant. I must say that I am still in a bit of shock. I just passed my 4 mo anniv and best I can figure it happened around my 3 mo anniversary. I guess my husband and I could have been more careful and used a formal method of birth control other then avoiding sex near ovulation... but we struggled with infertility/miscarraige for years before having our 2nd son. We had to use clomid, I had to have my ovaries drilled several times... not just little things. So I really thought we'd have to but "some" effort into it when we got ready. Turned out not to be the case for us.
So, here I am 4 mo post op & pregnant. I will be checking in with my OB tomorrow & hopefully see Dr. Wynn at some point this week for a consultation. I have a lot of emotions going on but overall I am very happy. I stongly believe that there is a purpose for all things that happen and for whatever reason God is blessing us with a pregnancy - and hopefully a healthy baby. I do have a pretty heathy fear of miscarraige because of my past, I think that is normal - but not something I ever wish to repeat.
But a word of caution to other new post ops, even if you were infertile pre op - use a back up birth control becasue losing weight very quickly can do amazing things inside your body.
OMG!!!! It was the darn bloomin onion!!! lol
First of all...congratulations!! It sounds like you are truly happy (after the shock wore off...or, gee...guess it's still there, huh? lol)
Second of all...wow!!! You really surprised me...but I am so happy for both u and hubby!
'Course, the 'mother' in me went searching for u right away... here are some great links, if u don't already have them. Also, see if u can find anybody that has last quarter's OB Help mag...it was dedicated to WLS post-op pregnancies.

You DO understand that this, uh, unique situation will make us very protective of u!!! So, if the 'mother hen' syndrome gets too much to bear, just tell us to back off!
Love ya, babe!!!
(((hugs)))
