Confused
Can anyone help me out? I have gotten my self confused with the sugar content range that I will need to stay within after sugery. I have gotten the protein and the fluids ok, but don't have a clue with the sugar content.
I just want to let you guys know that I love reading your postings. I have learned so many things- like I need to make the trip to Delaware to go to Trader Joe's! lol. I love the before and after pic's too!

...and to add on to Carla's post. Don't worry about getting confused. I think each of us tends to learn something new everyday. There is a PMRI support meeting on April 19: "Dumping Syndrome: How much sugar is too much". They will tell you everything about suggested grams of sugars. The evils of sugar alcohol and listening to your body and head. The last time they did this session it was extremely informative.
I have tried to keep the sugar levels below 6 grams at any one sitting, and since I am still in the rookie phase (only four months out) I only check the carbs to see if there are sugar alcohol (such as malitol). I find I can tolerate some level of malitol in the protein bars, but I have tried to keep those below 6 grams also. Limits your choices but lessens the opportunities to get sick. Have fun.
