Valentine's dinner...at Trader Joe's!
OK, can I just say that I love the place? lol
Hubby and I were going to go out to celebrate our anniversary/valentine's tonight... But, first, we went to the candle store and bought ourselves all KINDS of candles for one another. We're both candle fanatics...but secretly, he IS worse than I am (lol).
Anyhow...we ended up around Rt 202 and I invited him to go to Trader Joe's, just to check it all out. I also needed some more protein powder, so I figured we go in, walk around, I'd grab my protein powder and we'd leave and go to dinner.
Well...
We ended up spending over an hour, as well as our 'celebration dinner budget' at Trader Joe's instead and going home and having a wonderful, romantic dinner. He prepared the stuffed salmon with the cucumber dill sauce (awesome!) and for himself, stuffed cordon bleu. Complete with green beans and lemon-pepper pasta, candlelight and love, it was wonderful!
We also got some other goodies...like Thai Green Curry Simmer sauce, rye mini toast, butternut squash soup, shrimp, TJ's horseradish, chai tea, boneless/skinless chicken, TJ's hot and sweet mustard, etc, etc. Can u tell we were on a mission to 'spice up' our, uh, food? I know, I know...TMI!!
Oh, and of COURSE, I got the soy and flaxseed tortilla chips!
Anyhow, just wanted to share... Hope everyone had a sweet day!
(((hugs)))

Had a lovely day here as well. Hubby started off the day by leaving me a dozen red roses on the table for when I got up...along with cards from him, the kids, the 2 dogs, cat ( which he dipped their little paws in red and had them "sign" the cards lol.
He brought me hot coffee while I was still in bed too yaay. Later we went shopping and he got me a bracelet and watch set along with some new clothes and later in the evening 8 of us went to dinner and then back to our house. It was a great day! No matter what ever happens in my life I believe I am married to the greatest guy ever
Sounds so nice Hope. I too had a wonderful evening....My "Bow" cooked a nice romantic dinner for two (shrimp ****tail, snow crab legs, steak, dinner salad, baked potatoe) yummy! The table was set up all so nice and romantic (dried rose petals, cards, balloons, wine) with dim lights and jazz & love songs playing in the background. He even had dessert (strawberry swirl cheesecake)....I thought for a min. I had died and went to heaven for dessert...(lol). What a nice evening (I guess I taught him well). He's a keeper!

Good thinging, and it sounds delicious and well deserved. It's nice to have so many options and a supportive spouse. I went to dinner at Outback with my wife and daughter. I'm going to upload the pictures to the MSN site tonight if I can find my cable.
By the way, that stuffed cordon bleu looks like it would be great for us that crave protein. I checked the ingredients and there was no or few sugars. Going to have to try that one.
Congratulations on a wonderful day and evening.
Rob.
