Cheap date...
Boy, can I just tell u how amazed I am right now....
I went down to cafe for lunch where they have salad makings on the bar here at work. I choose some high protein items...couple little pieces of seasoned, boneless chicken, a couple chucks of swiss cheese, a couple strips of fresh green and red pepper (first time!) and a couple pices of fresh raw mushrooms (again, first time post-op!). All of it went down well, satisified me, and best of all...it cost me .76 cents!
Pre-op, that salad would have cost me close to $4.00!!

Amazing isn't it??? Although, I have to admit ... Pre-Op, I NEVER thought it would be a GOOD thing to be called a Cheap Date!!!
Kinda how I felt when hubby and I did the Cosco thing ... Who would have EVER thought that a sample from Cosco would constitute a cheap luncheon date? *grin* Pre-Op we always did the hot dog and soda routine ... of course there is NO WAY I could even entertain the thought of one of those HUGE dogs now!!!
Oh BTW CHICKIE ... in the group PMRI photo ... I did not even recognize you. Felt kinda dumb when I was asking Carla which newbie was standing beside her in the pic!!! YOU LOOK MAV-O-LUS DARLIN' !!!
Huggy Pooo,
Tammy
OMG....u have GOT to be kiddin' me! U truly didn't recognize me, either???? Both Elissa and Debbie said the same thing. In fact, Debbie, who was sitting a couple rows behind me, said something to the fact of, "I recognize the voice, but I don't know who that is..."
I'm just estactic! I can't believe it, actually....I still can't get over the fact that u guys have been with me this entire journey and I'm hearing this from u...so it must be true, ya know? But I sure don't see it THAT much....
Thanx for making my day, y'all!
(((hugs)))

Chicken, tortellini, sun dried tomatoes, mmmmm. I shared Tina's little sample at TJ's and brought 1 home for Charlie and my grandaughter. I added in some fettucini I made the other night and dinner for 3. I only ate the chicken and 1 dried tomatoe. Gave me indigestion. Then I gulped some water. Wrong move. I guess I dumped the water. Can you belive H2O would do that? Lesson learned. Wait 30 minutes after eating until you sip anything. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Speaking of eatin out, Saturday night I took my dad out to dinner at Steak and Ale (very gastric bypass friendly). I ordered the kids Hawaiin Chicken dinner. It came with one chicken breast, salad bar, potatoe and drink. Of course my drink was water and I only ate a tiny bites of salad, two bites of potatoes, and a little more then 1/4 chicken breast. Only cost......$4.99! Now when hubby takes me there for my bday dinner I bet our bill is less then $25!!
Hope
