SO far I've had some grape propel water & a hot tea .. a warm sal****er garggle... a swig of leftover T-3 elixer. I can't wait to see what my Dr. has to say today.... 11 minutes left until I can call for an appointment.
Okay here we go:
AM Propel grape flavored fitness water hot tea
Noon - in the car.. about 5 pieces of chex mix
After noon - hot tea & berry flavored propel
Slice of browned scraple and GET THIS - AN EGG! You see that Karen?? I ate an egg and it was good! It felt good goin down, no problemo! I didn't scramble it - I just cracked it in the pan & let it cook then flipped it over and cooked the other side. I was so surprised. And happy
1/3 of a Snickers Marathon energy bar in the Multi grain crunch. This is SOOOO good. Probably has too many card/sugars for some people. But it is a great treat while still being health concious - 13 carbs, 4.5 protein, 110 cal, 9 sugars.
evening dinner 2-3 oz cubed Munster cheese on bed of lettuce & cut up cucumbers with ranch dressing. Ate most of the cheese first then had a little of the veggie.
Still working on the fluids - they have taken a hit the last few days. Mon & Tues I missed my protein drink. Back on the train 1st thing tomorrow morning. I got my FF milk tonight.
It is still early here for my tum this morning ... but I will give you the lowdown thus far.
1.5 slices of extremely thin already cooked bacon from Cosco - great deal for us post-ops btw ... makes getting a piece of bacon soooo easy. Protein gms ? (haven't checked and I do eat it enough to know by heart yet)
Morning Vitamins (Vista) B-12 sub-lingual (Trader Joes)
Currently working on morning snack - protein shake Whey Fruity (fruit punch - www.bariatriceating.com) Yummy! 27 gms protein
Now for yesterday ... it was not at all typical of what I eat, but here goes anyway ...
Breakfast - 1.5 oz cheese (reduced fat sharp cheddar - Martins Grocery Store) 12 gms protein
Lunch - Was out and running around so we stopped by Taco Bell - I ordered the steak soft taco. Ate about 1/4 of the steak, most all the cheese (they were a bit stingy with it yesterday BTW) and a couple of the small pieces of tomatoes. None of the tortilla, still too chicken to really try it! Protein ?
Afternoon Snack - 1/3 protein bar 10 gms protein (Triple Delicious High Protein Bar - from Carb Busters - SIMPLY the best protein bar I have ever tasted - and I have eaten a couple of really good ones!)
Dinner - Another 1/3 of the protein bar from earlier ... another 10 gms of protein. Evening Vitamins (Vista) and then a couple of pretzel chunks
Before Bed - Needed to get in more protein for the day and I was excited because I had received some new protein samples ... made one up and YUCK! The worst I have ever tasted in my whole life!!! YUCK ... will get the name for you guys and let you know. They sounded so wonderful, and I thought I was going to be in love ... it is NOT so. I have extra samples that I will be sure to bring to our next exchange, just in case someone else would want to try them. Anyway, I asked hubby to try it ... he did and he said he couldn't drink it either. So I poured it down the drain and made my good ole Chocolate Unjury with milk. (www.unjury.com) 28 gms of protein with the milk.
I figure I got in about 70 gms of protein, missed getting in all my water (unusual for me anymore - got in only about 56 ozs)
This was posted by me over on MSN yesterday.
You asked for it, so here it is. I am a creature of habit so I do get into ruts, but I've found that varying lunch and dinner during the week I'm still pretty happy. Today so far has been a very good day and I had no trouble getting over 100g of protein. Only being four months out, I'm still most concerned with getting that protein in. Not sure if this is what you are looking for so if it is something different let me know.
