Newbie Here

I've been watching the board for a while, but never posted. So, here goes. Yesterday I went to my first meeting at PMRI. It was inspirational as well as fun. I'm "scheduled" for surgery on the 17th of this month, but I still don't have insurance approval yet. I am told I will know something by the end of next week. I'm trying to be optimistic, but can't help but expect the worst. I'm sure many of you have gone through this as well. Any advice would be appreciated. I'll post again as soon as I hear. It was great going to the meeting yesterday and hearing of other people's experiences with this surgery. Keep up the good work everyone.

Linda, Welcome to the group! I can't give you much advice becuase my surgery is not till April. But I can tell you that this is a great place for inspiration, encouragement, and fun Too!! Ken

Welcome Linda, sorry to have missed you at the meeting. Try not to worry too much abot uthe insurance if they have told you there should not be any problems - those girls know there stuff. My stupid approval did not come in until the day before surgery because my last PMRI appointment was ust 2 weeks before the date. A little nerve wraking but just have faith!

Will the REAL Karen pls stand up? lol Welcome, Linda! Congrats on your first PMRI meeting AND your surgery date this month! Whoohoo! I didn't get insurance approval until a couple days before my date...I'll admit, I was nervous! But it all worked out in the end. (((Hugs))) -Karen
