Hey, You know we should all get together one evening and have a dinner together. (I can open my house to everyone). We could each bring a favorite dish we have learned to make since surgery and let even pre-ops try it. Anyone up for it???? Hope

That would be great, I am a pre-oper- and would love to know what kinds of meals people have come up with. You would have to let me know what to bring since my brain is still stuck on the "Gosh, I will have to drink my meals for a month!" stage-lol

Don't worry Mi**** isn't that bad. When I frist met Dr. Wynn I told her the idea of a meat milkshake was gross. Of course she agreed... lol but it is not likr that. You can blenderize & eat SO much. And becasue you are really babying yor system - things will taste so good that you'd never think of eating. SOme things I put in the blender the first month were - meatloaf, Chili, lasagna, chicken salad, chicken & dumplings, deviled eggs. Plus there are things like mashed potatoes - when you top 1 oz mashed potatoes with 1 oz cheese - suddenly yor meal has 8 grams of protein. Month 1 I put shredded cheese on almost everything. and I still use it alot. plus you can make tunafish, egg salad. Pre op I blended cream of chicken soup with a can of chicken breast & froze it in ice cube trays. The 1st week home I'd pop 2 in the microwave. I also simmered a chicken thigh in some spagetti sauce & then put that in the blender - also good! You'll be fine - we are here for you!
