Carb Buster's field trip!

Rob took us on a field trip to Carb Busters D'Lite after the meeting today...can I just say "wow!" I sampled the touted cheesecake, a piece of brownie and a protein drink called Bio-Chem...delish! I ended up purchasing some Davinci Gourmet Caramel Flavored Syrup, the BioChem Low Carb Smoothie (peach), some Country French Onion Dip, Cashew Crunch and some Soy Tortilla Chips (habanero flavored). Yum!!! The Sutton's would love to come out again to one of the WLS-NDE meetings! I think a lot of people weren't able to come this month because of the weather (myself included). I would highly recommend them to everybody! Their customer service alone is phenomenal... Thank-you so much to Hope for recommending them to us! Also...I found the Jan 2004 issue of OB Help on Ebay, if anyone is interested in bidding on it. It's $6.00 and there is 2 days left on the auction. This was real fun. Remember to get the Special Customer card if you want to buy things. It's good for about 10% off. Ed and Sherry Sutton are fabulous store owners who will work with you and let you taste about anything prior to buying it. They have great smoothies. They are normally 20 oz. but if you let them know your status they will make up a smaller one. They always have vanilla and chocolate, and then two specials. I've had butterscotch and almond joy. Both were awesome. They'll let you sample almost anything. I bought the Almond Crunch and the Cashew Crunch and they were both excellent. I love family businesses. Carb Busters D'Lite is great. They may be a little expensive if you were going to eat there everyday, but you can't beat it for a treat. One additional tip for those that like red meat. Trader Joe's has Buffalo Patties that are 30grams of protein. Great tasting also. End of advertisement. It's great to see all of you every month. Rob, Yesterday was my first meeting. It was great to see (or try to pick out ) some of the faces in the group that I have seen on this site. Is this Carb Buster place local? Sounds like something I should check out. Great job with your weight loss!

Hi Mish - Carb Buster's is a store on Kirkwood hwy - I don't know the name of the shopping center but it isn't far from St. Mark's. It is on the same side as Friendly's & burger king - just abotu a mile past them heding toward Wilmington.
