Miracles #1 & # 2
1st Miracle: I went to Kirkwood Fitness today and walked 2 times around the track. A milestone for me. Before surgery my knees hurt too much to even get around 1 time. There was no pain in my knees the first time I stood up and walked around the nurses station at the hospital Monday afternoon. Thank you Jesus for guiding my Dr's hands through this WLS. I talked to one of the trainer's and he is so excited he is gonna start working with me next week on a very very slow low maintenance program. Walk before you leap is gonna be my motto. I am so ready for this. Each day is better than the day before. Baby steps before I can
2nd Miracle is my wedding rings are already spinning around my finger. They were tight the morning of surgery 1/26. My follow up appointment is February 19th. Gosh I can't wait. I feel super. ((HUGS)) Thanks Elissa
Yeah, Elissa!!! You GO, girl!!
These things truly ARE miracles!! I'm so happy to hear that things are going well with you. Keep up the wonderful, positive attitude!!
Btw, I'm also wearing my wedding band on my middle finger but it's starting to spin THERE!
Yesterday, I walked 4.6 miles total for the day. Pre-op...? Forget even getting to the parking lot with out huffing and hurting!
Loving it!
(((hugs)))

WHOOOAAA Linda. The inside track at the fitness place is not a mile. I think 7/8 times around is. Boy are you optimistic. My knees were so bad that I couldn't even walk from the car to the dressing room without hurting , let alone 1 time around the track. Not to mention being out of breath to boot. LOL. I went to Kirkwood to get into the pool. I did my own water aroebics (sp) and sat in the hot tub to help this ole bod. I could usually do about a good 45 minutes a couple of times a week. In the water the knees didn't hurt. ((HUGS)) Elissa
