Elissa and Tina Yipppeee
Hey you two. I've started classes again at DelTech and not checking and posting daily, but I will be looking for word on you gals. I am and will be thinking of you constantly.
I had my 2nd sleep study last night with the cpap. Apparently I will be getting and using one. I'm glad, though. I was worried about that and the clotting. So I have to either speak to or see the pulmonologist again, get my egd, see a hematologist and then the filter when I go in and I'll be on my way...
Did I mention that my sister is also having WLS? Her name is Debbie. She doesn't really use the website, but I keep her informed. She has to have a cardiac cath on Monday (your surgical dates) and I am trying to keep her from fretting too much, too. She works at the blood bank and she told me she met one of you. I think it was Karen. Hang in there girls. Enjoy that broth it will all be behind you soon.

I have had a Cpap since 1999. I stopped breathing 60 plus times an hour. Scary isn't it? I use it every night at the "10" setting. I do sleep better and I am not as fatigued in the morning as I used to be. Sometimes I rip it off in the middle of the night unknowingly. My hubby has to wake me up so I can put it on and start breathing again. Poor guy lays there listening to me not breathing. Not a very good quality of life. That should be the 1st co-morbity to get rid of. People said that it stopped within the 1st 6 months. Then I'll be ready to &

Hey Dianne,
I've been wearing a CPAP for four years now, and to be honest I love it. You put it on and you drift off quickly, wake refreshed and ready to take on the day. Of course prior to surgery that refreshed and ready wouldn't last long, but it definitely helps me too sleep at night. Someday I will need to go have another sleep lab and get rid of the CPAP but I'm in no hurry.

Oh, my...is Debbie the one that does the questionaires in the beginning? I used to donate blood every year and then last year they told me that since I was stationed in the Army overseas between the years of 1986-1990, that I could no longer donate because of Mad Cow Disease! If that was your sis, she was very nice (and funny!). I think she said she also lives in Middletown? Ask her if she was the one who met Debra Puglisi Sharp?
(((hugs)))
