Member Passes Away due to Obesity

FYI ~ Please note that a member named Emily who I have spoken with (via email) has passed away due to obesity. She did not have the surgery. She was a 31 yr old mother of two young boys. She was denied surgery because of her physicological exam. Don't know the details ... only know that she was extrememly young and her BMI was only around 50 I believe. Tammy Thanks for bringing this sad, sad situation to our attention. What a tragedy. This reinforces my belief that I have made the right choice in having WLS. Did she once post on the DE board about not being approved? If so, I think I remember it. Wow. I'm truly saddened.

I am totally devestated for those children. My God please bless them and keep them safe. I will pray for her family.
