Hi Ruby! Welcome to Delaware. Many of us on this DE Board attend a support group at PMRI - Preventive Medicine and Rehab Institute - Each session includes a 30 minute lecture and a 30 minute general discussion forum. Pre-registration is not required and the group meetings are $5 per person. It is located at 3506 Kennett Pike (intersection of Routes 52 and 100) in Wilmington. The next meeting is on Saturday, Feb. 7, 10-11 am. For those who are unable to make the Sat. meeting, they offer a Monday evening group - in this case, Feb. 16 from 7-8 pm. The topic of this meeting will be on Gastric Bypass - the first 3 months. There are a great many wonderful people who attend this meeting to encourage, support and share information. I highly recommend it if you are available to check it out! Hope to see you there! ((hugs)) Carla

Welcome Ruby. Whichever group you decide to go to, You will meet a lot of nice caring encouraging people. I personally have attended 2 different ones. Both have pre-op & post-op people that attend. Lots of sharing. I will be post-op after 1/26. Fire on the the questions and comments we love it. A lot of us know each other both here and in person which is awesome. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Welcome Ruby. You've made the 1st step of using this website. This DE chapter is the best group of people. I don't know what kind of nervous wreck I'd be without them. They are all truly family and I'm honored to be a part of it. Keep reading and posting. The gals before me posted all the meetings that I've heard of. Hope to see you soon. Dianne
