Trader Joe's protein shake?

Hey guys, what is the Trader Joe's protein shakes sweetened with? I hope sucralose/Splenda cause I can't do the Equal/Sweetnlow. Allergic ps. and how much is it again? pss. starting to panic here.. two weeks from Monday, and still don't have insurance approval cause of heart doc approval... and just overall NERVES! lol.. Hi Tina, just sent you email with some info on this. Not sure about what kind of sweetener they use in it. Might make a TJ's run tomorrow with my mom. I didn't get my approval until the DAY before surgery. Try not to sweat it. Unless you've some kind of heads up for a potential problem, everything is probably fine. The shake I am not sure of from Trader Joe's but there is one I use from the vitamin shoppe that is a sucrolose sweetened. the smallest can is $7.77 which is similar to Tj's brand. Don't buy too much pre -op - your tastes may change.

Tina, Trader Joe's Chocolate flavored Whey Protein powder is sweetened with Fructose. Has 110 calories, total fat 1g, saturated fat 0.5g, total carb 10g, sugar 8g, Protein 17g. Cost is $7.49. Darn! I knew there was a reason it tasted so much like chocolate milk!! Actually, Tammy called to warn me about it, too. (Isn't she sweet...always looking out for us!) I'm still going to stick with it...the 8 grms of sugar for every 8 oz glass doesn't seem to bother me...and I love the taste and price! Now...can anyone fix my scale? It appears to be sucking the juice out of my brand new batteries!! I'm about to throw it out the window, but for different reasons than weight. yuk, yuk. (((Hugs))) -Karen
