Latest CARLA UPDATES

GREAT NEWS!!! I just talked with Carla on the phone. She was a tad on the drowsy side, seems they had to give her Benedryl because she was having a slight itch with her other meds. But other than that it sounds as if everything is going wonderful for her. She has been taking the hospital tour via walking, well at least the tour of the fifth floor. By the time she leaves likely she will have the place memorized. She was able to start her ice chips this morning and the doc said she would be getting juice at 2:00 pm and if all goes well, she will be released to come home tomorrow. She sends everyone her love and wants you all to know that she has received all her emails but NO CLOWN! *grin* I am not the betting type, but I bet she is not going to be willing to go for another surgery just on the off chance of getting the clown next time either! *grin* Again, thank you everyone for showing Carla such wonderful support. I am certain that she feels your love and support and it will help to make her recovery easier and faster.

Glad to hear Carla is resting and on her way to recovery. I wonder if she had a morphine reaction. I was given morphine in the epidural with my last c-section and had a terrible itchy sweaty reaction. UGH the bed was soaked and I wanted to scratch the skin right off my face. A bit of benedryl in the IV and I was good as new. Won't kill ya but it sure isn't pleasant!
