re: NEW HAIR DO Invitation

Okay, Since I have the shop in my basement, We can do it at my house. Sounds like there are a bunch of us hairdressers. Fran, Kathy, Sandy and myself. I have all the normal stuff, shampoo, dryer, blow dryer, curling irons. I keep perms on hand. I usually don't keep any color in house. I do have frosting bleach. If anyone wants a frosting with a cap & crochet hook ( old style) my specialty. I just have to get fresh peroxide. I do have manicure stuff also. I'd just have to rig up a table to use. I'm open for a Saturday or Sunday. Just come up with a date. Better decide what you want done as far as color choices before hand so one of us can go to beauty supply, unless anybody else has it on hand. Let me know how you all think about it. I am off 202 right near Concord Mall. Let me know and we'll start making plans. Elissa

what about feb 1st? that gives everyone a chance to make plans to come and it is also before valentines. someone else mentioned taking pics.i can bring the peroxide, bleach and haircolor. i just need to know what kind of colors people are wanting. i can also bring extra and take back what i don't use. i was thinking $6.00 per haircolor should cover the cost of the products. i also have some hairbooks to look at. if someone wants to bring their own hair mag or a pic of how they would like their hair that would be great too. since i'll be doing hair i guess i should warn you i am very against women's mullet hairstyles haha. so if you are still feathering your hair....beware haha. and if you bring me a high school pic or drivers liecense pic from 10+ years ago and tell me that is how you want your hair i will freak out.haha if you don't see your hairstyle in any hair mag, tv show or even in the general public it is time for a change haha. isn't that why we choose to have wls? but don't get scared....i do love new modern styles, but i would never dye your hair purple and hot pink or give you a mohawk! hahaha if you don't know what kind of style you want i would love to help you decide. also bring/wear and old shirt so that it won't get messed up.

Feb 1st probably won't work - Elissa's surgery is the 24th. Elissa - did you want to do something before yoru surgery or after?

Whoops - Make that surgery date the 26th...lol I was trying to move it up on her.

Wow, this sounds fab!!! Unfortunately, I've already committed to my friend, but I would still love to come over the day you guys do this! Oh, I also have a flat iron, if you'd like me to bring it? I've never used it yet...kinda scared to. I am all for getting together and having a girl's pampering day!! That is very gracious (and courageous! lol) of you, Elissa! Okay... Well I don't dare cut anyone's hair but my own & I skip perms... We'll all remain friends that way. However... I can do some manicures & hair coloring ( I just use the drugstore kinds though, nothing professional - but if you see something on the self that you have in mind, bring it on Oh & I am pretty good with make up too.. & facials even... Just tell me what to do ;)

Okay, I looked at the PMRI calendar and there appears to be a meeting on Feb 7th at 10AM. After the meeting we can all plan on coming back here for the makeover day. I'm only 8 miles away from PMRI. That'll give everyone time that needs to get a sitter for the day time to plan. Then I'll be 2 weeks post-op too. I should be functioning by then and ready for someone to wash and puff me up a little. . Oh even if you don't want a hairdo come for a manicure or facial. You guys are welcome too. We are all gonna look or handsome together. For our other half/significant other. WHOO WHOO. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Elissa - I'm not sure how much you'll feel up for hosting a gathering of lunitics at 2 weeks out. I know everyone is different but I was only up for small doses of things. What about the weekend before your surgery? Too soon? Course whatever you want is fine though... I agree no matter what date you settle on not everyone will be available, just the nature of the beast. ... I can do makeup but I just need to know if people are going to be bringing their own or if I should get some in different shades.. Also -I may pick up some inexpensive stuff that people can keep just to show them the colors - then they can get what they want of the good stuff.

i can't do it on feb 7th...it's my youngest daughters birthday. what about the 8th or the 22nd? it would really be nice for someone to do make-up ....it will just make the makeovers complete! if you email me privately i can give you my phone number.
