Fever, Chills, Sore Everywhere

Hi everyone. Boy I came down with a fever of 101 last nite. Chills and sore all over. And a cough that won't quit. My husband had a follow up visit with our primary DR. this AM so I did go with him just to check on my Aetna paperwork. Never mentioned the cold. I am so worried about the insurance approval. Only 20 days left. He said he'd put it on the top of his list of to do's. PLEASE. So much for trying to be prepared. Worst case if it doesn't get in my date will have to be re-scheduled. This waiting is enough to drive a person I will call again Thursday to see if Irgau's office got a copy of what Aetna needs. I got the pre-lab work from Dr. Irgau's office. Do you go to the hospital or any lab will do? I called his office for clarification, noone has gotten back to me yet. As you can all see, I am extremely impatient right now. I will be a happy camper if all this falls into place. I wonder how Tina is making out with her cath testing today? Hope she lets us know soon. EH

Elissa, Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather. I understand about the paperwork ... UGH! As far as the pre-op testing, Dr Irgau's office told me to go to any local lab that my insurance covers. I went to Lab Corp in Glasglow. Got in and out in less than a half hour. If you hear anything on Tina, please let me know. Hang in there Elissa, I know how hard it can be ... but all the struggles are so worth it in the end. HUGS, Tammy

Thanks for asking. Fever went up to 102 yesterday afternoon. My hubby called the druggist and told him my symtoms about 7PM. He said to take 2 Tylenol and keep hydrated. My son in law went to the drug store and dropped it off for me last nite. The fever finally broke. I did call the DR today and a nurse called me back and said to take Robitussin DM and sudafed. So I went and got it at the drug store. Everything aches. but at least the fever and chills went away. I had some soup for lunch. Been keeping up with the hot tea. Thanks for checking in on me. EH

Hi Elissa, I'm glad things are improving. Oh how it sux to be sick and especially now of all times. Sorry I didn't reply before now but I had a round trip ticket to Freakout land I had to use up before surgery. What a trip, I don't recommend it. The flight is bumpy and the flight attendants are all *****y anti weight loss surgery people. I thumped her on the head and jumped off the plane and landed back where I belong tho. Yes, I am scary Have a hug ( germ free ) Linda
