So annoyed
I really try and be patient and this journey has been more than an exercise in patience but sometimes I get so annoyed. I got a bill in the mail saying my insurance company only paid $18.00 of my $300.00 consultation visit. I call billing to find out what's what and they say they were only given a small amount because I was out of network with no referral.
UGH the ONE piece of paper I don't have a copy of and that's the one that gets lost. So I call the insurance company...nope, no record of one anywhere...so I call the surgeons office...nope, none in my file. So now I have to call my PCP and try and get a copy of it. This PCP's office is a NIGHTMARE. I always get a recording..now the latest recording wants us to leave ALL of our info on an answering machine...reason for visit, insurance numbers etc. Now, I don't know about you, but no way am I leaving that sort of info on some answering machine for heck knows who to hear. Then at the end of the recording she says" If you don't hear from me in 24hrs, call back"
GRRRR...it's always something. Sometimes I feel like I am going thru all this and then at the very end something will go wrong and they will say ooops sorry can't help you. Sorry for the grouchy vent.

My PCP has the same thing ... it is soooo upsetting trying to talk to a machine when you really need to talk to a real live person. Plus, they never let me know if they actually got the referals sent ... I am in the process right now trying to find out if that is why some of my bills are not getting covered. I feel your frustration!!!
Hang in there, it is all still SO WORTH IT!!!
