Reasons to update your profile
updating your profile is very important not only to yourself, but to others also.
1. when you are feeling down about your weightloss you can look back and see how far you have already come.
2. if the pounds aren't coming off as fast as you would like or if you are at a standstill you can reflect on your profile to check patterns in your eating, workouts ect.. to see what can be changed.
3. it give support to other memebers letting them know they aren't alone in their thoughts, ups and downs, and that there are others they can relate too.
4. it also helps remind you when you had doctor appointments, lists complications and when they started.this is an overview of your health that could help you later down the road.
i love reading your profiles and look forward to reading more!!
Hiya Fran,
Couldn't agree with you more! I love reading people's profiles and really get into some of them and lose track of time. Nothing worse than all of a sudden seeing no more entries, it's like hey where's the end of the book. lol I know people get busy with their new lives after surgery but even a monthly update on their progress can mean so much to those who look for inspiration from those who have gone before.

PS. Glad to see some more posting on the Delaware board lately.
Hi Fran & Linda, I have no idea how to update my profile. I have asked the web site volunteers to help me personalize my profile site 2 times since September, but they must be really busy. So in the meantime I just hunt and peck and look at other people's profiles. Any advice would really be appreciated. Elissa
Hi Elissa,
Here is a link to get to your profile:
http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/newauthenter.phtml
Scroll down to where it says General Info and that's where you type in your updates. As far as making it pretty with backgrounds and such you can do it yourself using HTML codes or get on the list to have a volunteer do it for you. If it's been awhile since you made a request for them to jazz it up and add things maybe the request was overlooked or lost. I'd email and ask again.
If you want to add simple colored text etc right under General Info It says Profile Color and Photos, you can do that there. Hope this helps.

Hi Elissa, LB gave you some great tips on how to update your profile. I also wanted to share with you a link that the HTML team put together as a tutorial to update your profile - just follow this link...
http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/memtu/
It's a step by step to help you update.
Also, I just wanted to let you know that the HTML team is very busy but I'm sure it won't be too long before your profile is "spruced up". I know I'm new and I work on 2 at a time. So, I'm sure, yours will be done soon!
Take care!!
((hugs)) Cj
I said profile, but I really meant my journal. I just went to General Info and spaced a few lines down and added some new dates to the journal. I'm not sure what you guys mean by HTLM codes. I have gone in to the color on the profile and changed that to suit me.
I did email x's 2 to the volunteers. I'll just wait til they get around to it. I'm not one to keep begging. I will ask 1 time and a second just in case the first got lost. After that it's begging. Not. LOL Thanks for getting back to me. I'll be on vacation. Going to Sedona Arizona for a week. I'll miss this site. I think I'm addicted. See you all on the 13th??? EH
