Scheduling Question

HI, hoping maybe I can get some more info as to the scheduling process. UGH I know, hurry up and wait lol. I finish my appointments at PMRI next week. I have seen the cardiologist and finish his testing next week. The thing I had to wait for was the pulmonologist, I couldn't get in till Jan.20th but have had my chest xray and am ready to go on a cancellation list should an appointment become available. I got a letter in the mail on Saturday that I am scheduled to be scoped February 27th. UGH FEB??? 3 months of waiting for the scope and then getting a surgery date? My question is, are the scope appointments ever changed or moved around like the surgical dates are? I am trying to be patient but have been at this for a year now and the thought of yet another 4 months of waiting is frustrating to me. I'd love to hear any of your experiences with how scheduling has been in your case. Thanks for any help you can give, Linda

Linda: I got my mid Feb egd date in the mail. Soon after, I received a mailing with my surgical date. I don't think you have to HAVE the scope and THEN be scheduled. I have Feb appt with one of the docs and still got the March "tentative" date for surgery. That's how it worked with me. I don't know if it has anything to do with insurances or not either, they know all of mine is covered.
