i know the wait is a killer, but your almost there!!!!! yeah!!! some things that i did so i wouldn't go crazy while waiting were to: deep clean my whole house, go thur all of my clothes and sort them in sizes(haha i had 6 different sizes to choose from) and give away clothes that i knew wouldn't fit for the next season. doing that felt sooooooooo good because i knew i wouldn't be in big sizes any longer. i have also been buying smaller size clothing that has been on sale, i know i can't wear it now but i will be able to later. if you don't want to spend alot of money on clothes and you can find someone near you that has also had wls you can see if they can pass them down to you. i am doing that with someone in my support group and she will pass them on when she is done with them. another thing i did was to start paying attention to my skin and nails. really taking care of your skin now will help when you start droping pounds. it will help tighten it up somewhat. i have been whitening my teeth and shaping my eyebrows...these little things make a big difference. ohhhhhhh and my all time favorite is to take a very very long hot bubble bath with candles and a good book. another tip....if you have nice hydrated skin before surgery it will help your scar to heal quicker and look better. health skin is easier to heal than dry skin. ohhhhhh and if you like to shave your legs or other parts it might be a good idea to do it now because you won't be able to do it for awhile after surgery. best of luck to you.

Dear Tina,
I bet you are getting very excited ... I can still remember how I felt just before my surgery. So full of emotions ... not exactly sure what they all were even. But by the time I was on my way to the hospital, I was extremely peaceful and was ready to face the surgery.
You have been given some great advice here in the previous posts ... and I have to agree with the bubble bath part ... my fav also! And if you are going to Dr Wynn or Dr Irgau, you will be on restriction for the next month from baths. I really miss them and am looking forward to one the minute my month is up!
Tina, trust that I am and will continue to pray for you. May God have His hand upon you, watch over you, and protect you. I know that you are a woman of faith and you know to trust that He is the ULTIMATE physician and is in charge of all things.
So looking forward to hearing the success of your journey!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
All of you have been wonderful my mouth is dry even though i keep drinking, my stomach hurts so bad. my head hurts because i cant take sinus med, i want to eat so bad. i want a steak. LOL ok now i am over that. no not really my stomach is making funny noises. oh well almost 24 hrs before i need be at the hospital.
when i get hungry if i drink something hot it takes away my hungry and makes me feel full. i like the sugar-free international coffees(they taste more like hot chocolate than coffee to me). i also put them in the blender with ice with my protein chocolate shake to add a better flavor and they are only 25 cal. i found a really good chicken broth that tastes like chicken soup. it is herb-ox brand and comes in a little green box, i think you can get it almost everywhere in the dry broth section of your store. i even put 4 saltines in it kind of like a mock chicken soup. this really helped me my first weeks post-op.
