Ok, 2 weeks down...how are you feeling and how much have you lost??
I read your update on your profile - I hope your hubby and you are getting your rest and taking it easy. (I know, easier said than done)
I'll keep your family in my prayers.
How are you doing on your protein?
((hugs)) Cj
Good Morning CJ,
Thank you for checking up on me. I am doing great! Went to the docs yesterday and I was right, my scales were off *sniff*sniff*, so I have actually only lost 18 lbs. They said that is still very good (9lbs per week). Brent said to go by my scales, but I am going with their numbers. I am still amazed at that amount in such a short time. But more importantly, I am amazed at how fast I am healing. The fact that the pain in my knees is all but gone, and the back pain is diminishing. What a blessing. Doc said everything looked great, and that I was doing very well. I am going to take him at his word on that one! Still, you can not wipe this smile off my face! *grin*
I have had a little trouble trying to figure out just how to eat ... know this sounds kinda weird, but truly it is a whole new way to eat. But doing much better now. Doing good with the fluids, still working on getting the protein in. My tummy simply will not hold that much, so even though I concentrate on the protein, I am still down a bit. But I figure that will get better as time goes on. For the first time yesterday, I got all my vitamins and pills in. That has been a bit of a struggle also trying to figure out how they are all supposed to fit into my day with all the rules involved (ie, no calcum with iron ... etc).
But on the whole, things have gone very smoothly. Had a couple of episodes, my fault, tried to eat Pork & Beans, dumb move ... tend to allow my pouch to get too empty and that causes me to be nausous. But then I had that problem before surgery, so that should not be a big surprise. I am so thrilled to have been given my life back. I can hardly wait until your surgery as well.
God Bless You CJ!
Hugs,
Tammy
