Dr.Wynn's patients...

Hi all, I was just wondering...When you met with Dr.Wynn, what types of pre-op testing did she require. How many appointments did you have to go to before she was able to give you a surgery date? I have already had my stress test and ekg, my psych eval and have been approved by my insurance, it's just I had to switch surgeons since my original was not covered in my insurance plan. I meet with Dr. Wynn on Sept 19th and I was courious to know what, if any other items she required or suggested? Also does her office have or recommend a support group?? Thanks, Cj

HI Cj, I have seen Dr Irgua who is associated with Dr Wynn. I had to see a lung doctor who sent me for a sleep study and a breathing test (I see a lung doctor anyway for sarcoidosis). I also had to see a cardiologist who did an EKG and stress test. Then I had to go to PMRI and see the nutritionist, phsycologist, weight management doctor and a nurse practitioner (they sent me for blood work). Now I will be seeing Dr Wynn on the 18th for my final surgery evaluation (I am scheduled on Sept. 29 for surgery). I am not sure how it will work being a transferring patient but I do know that you will have to see the doctors at PMRI and that is a long wait.
