I find Dr. Miller to be a wonderful Doctor. He is understanding and considerate. He is my MD and I have nothing negative to say about him. My first appointment was in February. I had some preliminary testing that was required and that is really what takes so long, trying to get appointments with the specialty MD's. In March I had a EKG and was cleared, I then needed a pulmonary clearance this was done in April. The pulmonolist sent me for a sleep study which was scheduled in May. I was cleared by June and my second appt with Dr. Miller was scheduled in July. the 16th to be exact. I then received a date for my surgery which will be August 28th, 2003. So it has taken approximately 6 months. I have not had any problems with my insurance. thank God for that. I hope all goes well for you.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Miller the end of April 2002. I needed to have a sleep study done and it took till mid June to have that scheduled. It was near the end of June before I had insurance approval and the beggining of July before I had my second appointment with Dr. Miller and my date was scheduled for August 15, 2002. The longest part of the process seemed to be getting the insurance approval and that wasn't so much the insurance company as Changing Lives getting the paperwork to them. They see so many people it really takes awhile to get the paperwork submitted. If I had opted for laproscopic surgery I'd of had another month or so to wait but I requested to have my surgery done open. I'm crazy about Dr. Miller and I recommend him all the time. June 2003 I had to go to the ER in severe pain and nauseated. Turned out I had a bowel obstruction. I was at a different hospital then the one where Dr. Miller practices because it was closer to my home but when the E.R. doc said I needed a surgeon asap I requested that they send me to Nanticoke and Dr. Miller and they did that for me. So I've been operated on twice by this Dr. and in my oponion that is twice he has saved my life. I'll be forever greatful to him.

FRAN, MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WAS ON APRIL 2ND AND MY SURGERY DATE IS SEPT 15TH. I COULD HAVE PICKED AUGUST 15TH OR THE 21ST BUT THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BEST TO DO IT WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN SCHOOL. SO IT TAKES 4 MONTHS AT THE MOST. I HAD TO DO SOME EXTENSIVE BLOODWORK AND MY INSURANCE HAS HELD SOME THINGS UP. MAMSI/AWFUL!! GOOD LUCK. JENNIFER

Hi, I just got my surgery date for Nov 6th. I cant wait. I started my whole process in June and was approved right away. I think that things have moved kinda quick. I'm grateful of that. I really like Dr Miller, I work with a woman who has had surgery by Dr Miller and I have complete confidence in him. He has been upfront and honest with me and his staff has been terrific with all my questions as well as the ones from my husband.
