had the consult i am on my way

i had my consult on all days friday the 13th. the staff and changing lives through bariatric surgery were fantastic. i am so excited i just need to get a few tests done and then i get to go back and get my appointment. would love to talk to anyone who has had the surgery from dr smoots office. dr rodriguez is who i am going to so if anyone has had him too please feel free to email me thank you

Hi! I had surgery April 2002 and have been with Changing Lives all through this. Dr. Smoot was my surgeon and he and his entire staff are phenomenal! My ONLY regret, is not having done it sooner. I am 52 and soon to be 53 and this is the first year in many years that I have been healthy! I have gone from 334 (recorded: 344 actual day of surgery) to 228 and I feel wonderful. Went from 30/32 clothing to 18-20. I will urge you to do two things as you have this: Follow their guidelines by the book; make that strong commitment to exercise - that is my major failing in that I just do not do enough. If I were more into this I think my loss and my skin tone would be better. But I am happy in my skin! My health was horrible and probably was 6 months away from not walking and 5 years from death. That is no longer the case and life is good! I wish you the best. Andrea
