I have been a member of the site forever and always came back here and there. I decided to have a baby before I went full force with the surgery. Now that my son is older, I am so ready. I'm 4 days away and so very excited! So my question is what do you recommend for me to bring for my hospital stay. i really dont wanna overpack!

Thank you,
Le'Cinda

Le'Cinda,
Congratulations on your up coming surgery!
Definitely don't over pack.
No books, mags or computers.
Minimal toiletries.  Bring chap stick, your lips will feel like they were in the desert!
Comfortable robe and slippers.
Bring your CPap Machine if you have one.

Good Luck!
Judy

Best wishes for uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!

The only things I really needed? Chapstick, socks, and a bathrobe . . .

Ditto on the chapstick. Comb or brush. Toothbrush & toothpaste. Slippers or sandals. Bathrobe. Those gowns lack coverage. Bring a smile cause you are starting the best journey ever.
Good luck. Keeping a seat on the Looser's bench warm for you. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Congratulations!  I ditto, all of the above, but oasis mouth spray has gotten me through all of my surgeries when your mouth is totally dry and you can have nothing to drink.  I usually order it online it is a spray for people with dry mouth.  No one has ever had a problem with me using post surgery!  I think the only things I used were my slippers, phone, and bathrobe.  I had heard about people passing out in the shower the first time so I was scared to take a shower at home so I did back SMALL toiletries!

Thank you for everyone's recommendation. I totally did the less is more thing and anything I needed my sis brought up for me. I thing the only thing I needed was my phone and charger to be perfectly honest. The nurses were awesome with providing everything else. I am happy to say I had an uneventful surgery. I was lucky I wasnt in much pain...but then again I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I expected it to be much worse. So far I'm down a little over 20lbs...I"m trying to stay away from the scale, lol!
