Happy Halloween!

Boo!  Hope everyone is having a fun Halloween.  This is my least favorite holiday.  I never understand how you can have vandals at your home one night, asking for candy the next night.  I never understand the eggs and toilet paper.  I think if they limited the holidays to kids under 10-12 years of age, I could get more excited about it.  Oh well, that's the end of my rant.  BTW, I am not a grinch!

So I just finished making a pumpkin rice pudding.  It's chilling in the fridge right now.  I'll try it tonight.  I found a recipe that I adjusted to make gastric friendly.  I also have been experimenting with some new homemade coffee coolatas.   These are my post-race treats.  Having two kids that are serving coffee and drinks during the week got me thinking about these new formulas.  My new formula contains instant coffee (Starbucks brand only), Better than Peanut Butter, oatmeal, flaxseed meal, crushed almonds, yogurt and cocoa powder.  I am working with a nutritionist at my former gym to keep thee honest.

Ran the Union Grille Halloween Treat yesterday.  Fun race and the proceeds help support the Brain Tumor Association.

So take the time to read and respond.  We need to hear from more people before we lose our state status on this forum.   Can you imagine if they decided to make us a county of Pennsylvania.

Steer clear of the goblins tonight!

Hi Rob,

Will you be sharing the pumpkin rice pudding recipe? (hint, hint)

I waited to buy the trick or treat candy until last night, I didn't want to tempt myself.

How is the Better than Peanut Butter?  I have a jar and haven't opened it.  I'm afraid its going to be gross!

I wish I liked the flavored coffees, coolatas, cappucinos and frappucinos,  but I'm just a coffee purist,  its house blend only for me.

Happy Halloween everyone!
Judy

Better than Peanut Butter is great as long as you are mixing it into something else.  Smoothies, etc.   I like it on graham crackers from Trader Joes, but I'm not a peanut butter purist.
