DMV License Photo

I use my credit card along with my driver's license to make purchases.  I recently was making a purchase at a furniture store.  I handed the clerk my credit card, that says "see id" on the back of it, along with my drivers license.  She slowly walked away to the credit machine looking back and forth between my license and me.  She ran the card through, but upon returning to the counter where I was waiting, she leaned over and gently said "Have you lost a lot of weight in your face?  You don't look like your license photo." 
I realized she probably thought I was a cancer patient or some other wasting disease because she was trying to be quiet about it.  Of course I had to bust out a chuckle and tell her that yes I had indeed lost a lot of weight in my face, and all over, from recent WLS.
She was instantly both relieved and curious.  After the usual questions, she told me that I really should look into getting a new license photo.  She could have refused to take the ID since it doesn't look like me in the photo.  It had been a while since I had looked at my license photo, and indeed, it doesn't look like me.
My license isn't up for renewal until next May.  Anyone else updated their picture before needing it for boarding a plane other ID related stuff?

My daughter had trouble getting a passport becaue she dyes her hair very dark brown and she is a natural blonde.  The hair color change changed her look completely. 

I waited til my renewal to get my driver's license.....but I did get a new work ID photo.

I had the TSA's  talking to each other about my photo a few years back. They called over other agents at Philadelphia airport. I have to admit I felt pretty good about it.  I had to explain that I'd lost a lot of weight. I  also had to show another picture ID. I do have an updated  passport that they believed.  The next  time I went to DMV the photo was updated. I think there would have been  a charge to update just the photo. ISo I waited for renewal.  t's been awhile. LOL

  i waited until it was time to renew my license before i got the new pic.  after losing 210lbs my pic was questioned anytime the person requesting it actually looked at it.  when i traveled to
see my sister i was sure i would be stopped but i sailed right thru security.   i finally got
my new license this past may ... it was my turn to get my new pic....the man taking the pic looked at the old license for comparrison and said to me...."lose a little weight?"  i stopped telling people that i had WLS when they ask how i lost the weight for 2 reasons.... 1st: it took me 2yrs and alot of hard work and exercise.... and 2nd: it is my sucess not the surgery.... the surgery was
just the right tool to reach my goal just as the right shovel would help me reach my goal of
planting a new garden.... i could still have my garden without the shovel but it would have taken me longer and it might not have ever been finished  the way i wanted it to.  the surgery was the best tool i ever got for myself and i am still using it today 3yrs later and 210lbs and still going
for more.....

because i was starting to feel weird about having my surgery (8/09/10!!!!) because a really RUDE coworker implied i was "cheating" ... ? It is exactly just what you said- a tool to help reach an amazing goal and IT IS OUR SUCESS not the WLS.

I am totally planning on getting a new drivers license photo before i have to renew. because of the hopeful weight loss AND because i am very angry in the photo. that was not a great day at the DMV.

and p.s. i actually have used the wrong shovel to dig out a garden plot- learned that leason!
