Thursday Roll Call

Good evening from Lower Slower Delaware ! What kind of day is all having. Last night I went to Harrington Slots with 2 of my nieces for the seafood buffet. It was packed. I did very well. I only ate crab legs and a bite of cheesecake. Was very happy with myself. Had good company and free meal for we had free tickets along with about 3000 other people. They were turning people away. I had not been there in several years. I am really trying to get out once a week and do some adult fun. Since Bob passed away I really thru myself into my grandkids and work.  I finally realized I need time to have fun too . My granddaughter struggles everytime I step out. Last night I handled it very well. After a call from her I stood my ground and told her she was to do what I had planned for her and I went on with my night without feeling guilty. This is a long story but a big stepping stone for me.  I have been cooking healthy and planning  all week and really feel proud. July is really going to be a busy month for both Debbie and I. We both work  inprivate home care ,taking care of a 92 year old man. We all call him Poppop. There was 5 of us who work there. We are down to 3 people giving 24 hr. care. One person is on maternity leave and one person  broke her right ankle and left foot on Sunday. We will be working 50-60 hrs a week to get thru July so if we are not on every day you know why. I had a great day.  No customers yelled at me and my company took our work group out to dinner at Cool Springs in Dover.  Very good seafood!
Most of the group then went to Dover Downs.  Must be time to gamble!
Me?  I just went home.  I work too hard to loose my money.
