Good Morning from Lower Slower Delaware! Congradulations to all who have answered roll call. The #'s are going up each day. Check it out for your self.  Lets keep it up.  I have to go to Robert's school this morning and pick up a paper to be filled out  for a College scholarship the kids can get it their grades are good in middle school. I know his will be for he has been an honor roll student all thru Elementary School.  Alexus, oh she is very different. Just can't catch on to Math and really struggles with it.  Already pulled food out of the freezer for dinner. Boneless Pork Chops, homemade mac and cheese and snap beans. Picked up a good looking recipe for Sammon ( brain dead this a.m. ) can't spell. You know fish. Anyway it has a sauce with spinach, tomatoes and riccota cheese. Really sounds good. I want to try that this weekend so I will let you know if it is any good. I have a busy weekend planned with the kids party on Sunday after Church. Have to clean the deck tomorrow. Yellow Pollin in taking us over down here. Unreal !This what we feel like with that and raking pine needles. Then we get to enjoy the summer with all the Tourist ! Makes you want to move to Lower Slower Delaware ? I love it here, all in all.  Ok ! I look forward to reading all your post  so post, post , post ! See you lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne,
The guys just finished painting the kitchen.  It looks great.  I think we're going to get them to paint the living room next.
I'm going to clean out my flower beds tomorrow.  If I have enough energy, I'm going to thin out my strawberry patch.  I have loads of blossoms on the plants.  Oh yeah...  we're suppose to clean out the garage also.  Not looking forward to that.
The traffic on south bound rt 1 was unreal.  Joanne everyone must be heading to your house!  Hope you made enough for dinner!

Judy, Last night I was heading North to work and the traffic was unreal for a Saturday night.  I guess they were heading to your house for dinner. Pickings were skimpy here.  I only had Robert and took him to Mc Donalds while we were shopping.  Today was their Birthday Party. Thats another story. See you lighter. Joanne

That salmon sounds delish!

I had a really busy one today - had to work, then do a bunch of little errands, then pick up my kid, feed both of us, and hit the Carnival at St. Helena's church up the street.  We walked, since it's only 5 minutes away, and parking would've been miserable!!  That kid loves the rides.  Just like her mama!

I finally got her tucked into bed and watched a movie with DH.  Just chilling now with the computer, looking forward to tomorrow.  I get to go visit with a friend's brand new puppy, then have kid-free fun all the rest of the day, since my daughter is going to visit her grandparents!  You grandparents are the best!!

Have a great weekend!

Yesterday was extremely busy but very rewarding.  Took the day off of work.  Started out with an excellent breakfast with my wife at European Bistro.  We then spent the next few hours getting stuff ready for the garage sale on Saturday.  Then I high tailed it up to Philadelphia to stand in line at the expo to get my starting packet for Sunday's Philadelphia Broad Street Run.  Whle at the expo I was able to pick up some tech running shirts and got a free foot and posture analysis.  Got pulled into the Action 6 news booth to tell my story and why I run and then headed home for more work at home.   Early evening headed out for a great greek dinner at European Bistro with my mom, before we headed up to Arcaida University for my daughter's senior thesis presentation.  My daughter's display was the highlight of the day.  She has been scrambling to finish her art therapy display but she not only finished, her display was stunning.  She made twelve dolls (from scratch) displaying different defense mechanisms.  Her description of the project reflected her life struggles, and explained the significance of each of the dolls.  It brought tears to my eyes, and a great sense of pride to realize how far she has come with her life, and how each challenge has helped to mold her, and set her path for the future.  Sorry about the long post, but I'm one proud dad!  She graduates this month, and then she starts looking at getting her master's in art therapy so she can give back what she has learned.  The long ride home from Arcadia went quick and I'm still riding this wave.
