Good morning from Lower Slower Delaware !  This is a morning roll call so lets see if we can get more post today. I challenge all to post today! Lets beat yesterday. I worked last night but now have off both jobs until 10 pm tomorrow. I'm getting excited about our trip to Niagara Falls next weekend.  Can't wait ! Today I am going to do some rearranging. Hit the thift store in Ocean View. If you are ever down in Lower Slower Delaware and like thrift stores this is the one to hit. Very cheap. I mean shirts 50 cents and pants $1. Lots of beachy stuff but you have to get there early for the good stuff.  I usually go every Saturday morning . If anyone is interested in going some Saturday let me know and I will show you where it is .They are only open 9- 12. Tuesday thru  Saturday and 4-7pm on Mondays starting in May. They only have night hours in the spring/summer.  I might go to lunch with a widows/widowers group today. They go every Thursday but I am usually working so I might check it out today. Hope all has a good  day. I look forward to seeing if we get more post. See you lighter. Joanne

I LOVE thrift stores!  Shopping without guilt!

It's another busy day for me - I've got two students giving presentations after school, then a doctor's appointment, and then I've got to make dinner and find time to take my daughter to the Carnival.  I hope I get it all done!

I'm really looking forward to summer this year!  It's been a learning year for me - I'm teaching a level I haven't taught in 15 years, and when I last taught it, it was at the University of Delaware, NOT at a high school.  Needless to say, I had to slow a lot down and make a lot of changes.  I need the time this summer to refine what I did this year and add a bunch of stuff that I think would make it better.  I just love it when people tell me that teachers don't work in the summers...

Oh well.  Better get my nose back to the grindstone!  Hope everyone has a beautiful sunny Thursday!

 Goooooooood Morning from Wilmington.

Today...hmmm...let's see.  Well first off, I'm waiting for Raymour and Flannigan's to come and exchange our reclining love seat and sofa.  The time frame is between 11 - 2 p.m. From the last delivery, I can honestly say they're pretty prompt.   Reason for exchange:  the love seat and sofa we now have are extremely difficult to recline and replace in the upright position, even after having the come and adjust all the pieces.

Then, I have a doctor's appointment at 3:30 because there seems to be some kind of bump on the underside of my right foot (under the skin at the instep).  The one and only other time I had one was about 7 years ago and it was on the other foot.  So I had it removed.  Since then I've had yearly visits to the hematologist and all labs have been fine.  Guess I'll find out today what's going on with my crazy foot.

Other than that, things are kind of quiet around here.

Have a great day.    Nina

I thought the bump on the bottom of my foot may have been a blood clot (I had one a number of years ago on my other foot)  But GOOD NEWS!  it turns out it's really only an irritation caused by me most likely stepping on something while going without shoes.  So all I have to do is ice it for about 10 -15 minutes two times a day for the next few days.  I should be back to new by the weekend.    Whew!  What a relief!      Oh...and since my last visit with the doctor (March 2nd) I've taken off another 9 POUNDS!!!!   So so SOOOO proud of my accomplishments!!!

Thanks, Joanne.  I'm very relieved with the Dr's prognosis.  Icing it has really made a big, positive difference already, even though I've only done it twice.

Yes, the new furniture is PERFECT!   So much more cushy and much easier to recline and incline.

Good afternoon!
What a great day out!  A little chilly but still generally nice out.
I love to go to Good Will or the thrift store in Newport.  I can usually find something really good.  My daughter gets tickled when I can find her some Abercrombie and Finch or Aeropostle.
I having my kitchen/ breakfast room painted tomorrow.  Can't wait until its done!  My color choice is Hummus.  I think it'll bring out the yellows in the stone back splash.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Judy

Judy,  I found this really big windchime made out of shells. It makes mine look like midgets. Just had to buy it. Also found 2 quacker factory shirts for $.50 each.  A brand new bathing suite for Alexus for $4. It came with a cover up too. One of the beach shops must of made some good donations.  Hummus is so appropiate for a eating room. LOL !Thanks ! I had a great day. One of Alexus's friends and her Mom came over for dinner. I fixed spaghetti with angel hair pasta.  It was really good since I hadn't had it since I don't know when. Made brownies for dessert but burned them. Oh well I guess someone was telling me we didn't need them. See you lighter. Joanne
